Training Programs

Whether looking for help as an individual or a private group, 905 Athletics is here to provide you the support and training environment necessary to achieve any physical goal you desire. 

Group Class Training

Strength and Conditioning programming in a group class setting that focuses on general physical preparedness.  A great starting point for those looking to join our 905 Athletics community and enjoy the energy of a group class experience.  Join our community to build strength, improve cardiovascular health, and bring back the health and vitality of your body

We run strength training classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  During these classes, you will follow a monthly curriculum as designed by our head coach. This monthly program, which includes a four day training block, will feature on the our white board and changes over every three-to-four weeks depending on the demands and total volume of the workouts designed.   Each day of the four day training cycle is scaled and brought to a level that will challenge every participant to their own individual capabilities.  Thus, making our strength programming suitable for ALL skill levels regardless of gym experience. 

On Wednesdays and Saturdays, however, we shift gears a bit and run our conditioning classes.  These are designed to challenge you through more of a steady circuit training type of environment.  Our conditioning classes vary in pace and intensity from week to week.  Some days we run pure HIIT (interval) style sessions with rest periods built in.  Some times we run steady state high intensity continuous efforts (80-90% of Max HR for > 35 mins).  And some times we pull the reigns back and do more comforted Zone 2 (60% of Max HR) type of efforts.  We change around our conditioning modalities as we try and cycle through targeted heart rate zones over the course of our monthly and annual training cycles.  

As our programming changes month to month, our members begin to expand their movement and training vocabulary and built out a much broader strength and skill base.  Our members get stronger, faster, healthier, more agile, and overall, more energetic and invigorated.  

 

Thus, bringing us towards the goal of increased work capacity and improved general physical preparedness.  The ability to move well, live well, and never feel held back by being physically inept to perform a task. 

Individualized Programming

Otherwise known as our Athlete Unlocked Program. 

This is for individuals who want their own monthly programming cycles catered to their complete individual goals and needs.  A great fit for someone who has been training for a while but still wants to push the envelope and keep striving for more in the weight room or to aid in their sport or career.  Instead of following what is written on our white board and following our weekly/monthly training schedule, one would receive anytime access to our gym (between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm) and a custom program written by our Head Coach to follow along through our branded app.  A custom training rotation will be provided with a direct line to our Coach for you to message or submit videos for review at any time.   Programs change over every 3-4 weeks and training splits are to be decided by one's own interests.  Someone can choose to train 2x/week or up to 5x/week if they prefer.  

Note, this option is also available for remote users at a lesser cost.  So one can use their own home gym set up, as an example, and still have our Head Coach program accordingly and have direct access to a coach at anytime. 

Dryland Team Training

Our facility is primed and well structured to work off field or off ice with local youth sports teams and athletes.

We've worked with athletes and teams across all sports in the area over the last 10 years.  Giving youth athletes the chance to learn proper fundamentals from experienced strength coaches at such a prime age is crucial for long term health.  I once heard Kelly Starrett (a prominent physio therapist in the sports world) say how he believed strength coaches of today are the future of health care and I couldn't agree more. 

 

Our dryland training functions off our similar principles found within our monthly training programs found on our white boards but puts strength, speed, and overall sports performance at the forefront.

Personal Training + Coaching

For those looking for one-on-one private training with a Coach/trainer. 

While personal training will run more expensive on a per session basis, there is no doubt it will yield quick results and fast track ones progress.

At 905 Athletics, we offer one-on-one coaching and will do our best to accomodate your training schedule and goals.
